I spent all of 2020 writing this book. It’s not about the body per se, but deeply draws on the somatic felt sense.

It’s called A Creator’s Companion, and you might find it useful if you’re making something. It’s meant as a traveling companion — in turns practical and philosophical — as you traverse the wilderness of creation. (More details at the bottom of this page.)

———————————————

A Creator’s Companion is meant as a body-centered, insightful call to action. It’s not a step-by-step manual.

It’s written in short, accessible chapters that you can read start to finish, or open to any page for a daily meditation on creation. It’s full of personal reflections, somatic practices, and simple self-inquiries meant to take you into the heart of your own direct experience.

It’s a book ultimately aimed at nurturing that which wants to be born though you, so you get something from it even if you consider yourself to be not creative at all. As one reader said, “Liam has this way of taking everything that’s stopped you from creating — whether it’s anxiety, or dread, or fear — and turning it into a gentle swaddle of poetry that gives you the confidence to make anything you’ve always dreamed of making.“

It's aimed at the ways in which we come to know, and not just know about, the world around and within us.
